I am a Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, families, and couples in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, mental health centers, residential foster care, correctional facilities, inpatient chemical dependency detox and treatment, and in private practice.
I received my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University and Post-graduate training in Psychoanalysis at the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Additionally, I have completed Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training through Behavior Tech and CBT training through the Beck Institute.
I have certification in SBIRT assessment, a comprehensive evidence-based approach to early intervention and treatment for persons with substance use disorders, as well as those who are at risk of developing these disorders.
You may be in crisis or wishing you felt better. You'd like to figure out what's in the way and how to move forward. I have helped clients with a wide range of obstacles, including stress, challenging transitions, and general feelings of being stuck.
I am psychodynamically oriented, but integrate practical strategies to improve your daily functioning. The effectiveness of my work has to do with the importance I place on connecting with you, helping you feel seen and understood. Together, we will look for connections between your experiences, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, to help you move forward with greater ease.
